Trunk It is a project I did as visuals for a history of surfwear for the Surfing Heritage and Cultural Center Formerly Known as The Surfing Heritage Foundation.

The Hawaiian footage from 1906 to World War II was entirely pulled from the files of the Bishop Museum.

The action from San Onofre, Malibu, Rincon and Ventura Overhead at the end is called Sweet Sixteen - and it’s found footage shot by John Larronde, a longtime Malibu resident.
